Veteran Actor Khalid Butt Passes Away in Lahore

Khalid Butt, a famous Pakistani actor and director, passed away in Lahore on Thursday due to kidney and liver problems, according to local news. His family sources said that his funeral would be held after the Asr prayer on Friday.

The legendary star started his career in the 1970s and acted in many Urdu and Punjabi movies and TV shows. His last appearance was in the drama serial Khaie, starring Faysal Quraishi and Durefishan Saleem.

Khalid Butt also had a successful career behind the camera, as he began as an assistant director and later directed a movie. He was involved in many popular TV and film projects, as well as theatre plays. He received the Pride of Performance award for his artistic contributions.

He showed his acting skills in PTV productions such as Jangal Pura (1997), Boota to Toba Tek Singh (1999), and Landa Bazaar (2002).

Many Pakistani artists expressed their respect and sorrow for the departed star on social media.
